Literacy circles

Room 1 have been doing literacy circles. If you don't know what literacy circles are, they are a group of  6 people who are all reading the same book. Some of the books we've been reading are:

 The Magician's Elephant
Juggling with Mandarins
Bridge to Terabethia   At the Lake
Holes
The Wolf in the Wardrobe
Almabama Moon.

We all have different roles and tasks to complete before we meet.  We have a director who is in charge, and then discuss the part of the book we have been reading.

Here are some pictures of us enjoying our literacy circles:

  1. I haven't read most of these books but I really did enjoy Bridge to Terabithia when I first read it about seven years ago.
Katherine Paterson wrote other books about adolescence too. Another one that I enjoyed is called The Great Gilly Hopkins
